Ella I think this is my favorite post yet. And so needed for me. I have a colonoscopy on Monday. I work in healthcare and I’m constantly living in fear that something’s wrong with my body and something I’m doing is making me unhealthy. And looking on socials it’s like you said, so much fear and anxiety associated with health and what we are doing right or wrong. Thank you for this! Praying for good results Monday and then I’m going to try and live with less fear.
Amazing. Choosing to consume healthy articles and content like this is in fact, reading with intention. Health should feel safe. Whatever process of health you are choosing to perform, if it is making you healthy and you feel good doing it, stick with it.
I completely agree with this! There are so many times when I've been overwhelmed by confusing (and often contradictory) health information online. I've found that what truly works is listening to my body and doing things that are good for it, while still allowing flexibility for enjoyment.
I literally just deleted all social media because of all the health and wellness noise. it is EXHAUSTING. This post was a breath of fresh air. You hit the nail on the head and I’m so thankful for these positive reminders of what true health feels like. Thank you!
Wonderful! I could not agree more. It’s all gone a bit bonkers. I’d like to say I was person B but I’m not quite there yet! Not enough balance in my life but I do eat well and am lucky enough to eat local, seasonal, organic foods and I’m very grateful for that and certainly will not give up alcohol for health reasons!
As a cancer doc myself, I’m always looking for ways to improve my patients health. Most of what I write about is staying on track with diet and exercise but allowing some flexibility. We do need to be health aware, but you’re absolutely right, it gets to be over-the-top on social media. Thanks for sharing this perspective and I plan on sharing with my subscribers too.
You've just helped me realize I am person A. I've been trying so hard to have this 'perfect' routine so I can feel whole. FYI has not been working. I think I am gonna start just living and do what I actually want to do instead what I feel I have to do. Thank you!
Loved this post! I just want to say that with age comes perspective. I personally found myself in my 40’s and listening more to what I needed to feel healthy and at peace then what the “news” or well meaning friends advised. I have discovered what works for me and I encourage looking inside and listening, to be the best advice at least for me 😉
This post was just what I needed! I tend to eat more in the winter and have found myself in the past choosing to restrict even though my body wants more fuel. Life is too short, on your death bed you will never think or say "I wish I was skinnier". Live life, make memories, and enjoy yummy meals with loved ones:)
I couldn’t agree more! There is so much noise and misinformation and overconsumption of information. It’s overwhelming! Most of the time we are too busy listening to everyone else to listen to ourselves. Thank you for sharing❤️

Completely agree Anthony 🙌
100% agree with you. Life is short, we never know what is around the corner. I appreciate your encouraging us to be more balanced.
I appreciate YOU providing a safe home where balance is celebrated ❤️

Beautifully said!
Thank you!! I have to remind myself of it daily
