I love slow mornings as well! Each day I start with 20oz lemon water and immediately light my palo santo, roll out the yoga mat and stretch followed by a short meditation. A quick grounding before my household awakes. I find myself a bit happier and full of love when making my daughter’s lunch and our breakfast. My vibe affects her vibe which can lead to a happier day at school. I’ve also made it a habit to not look at social media until after I’ve done my workouts or other todos. Sadly social can be a way to reward myself but once I get through my non-negotiable activities, I tend to actually forget about my phone which has changed my life for the better. I am more present throughout the day (and productive).

This is so relevant because just today I woke up feeling really depleted and low, so I skipped my first class and gave myself a slow morning. It was so needed. I used to practice tea ceremony each morning to really slow down and be intentional but the demands of life are hard to keep up with. This reminded me to start slow and maybe just take one day a week. I also want to get back to doing morning pages every morning

I loved this concept of "slow mornings" right way. It just clicked for me when you started talking about it! Slow mornings and now, slow evenings have done wonders for all aspects of my health. Now I look forward to them so much because they help me recalibrate before the day ends / begins. It is truly my time. The time goes by so quickly, too, but in a good way. I feel so good afterwards knowing I took the space to focus on what serves me best. Obsessed with you Ella and thank you for the inspiration!!
