Happy Sundayyyy beautiful peeeeeps. Currently sipping on a couple different bevs: honey matcha latte and some cranberry electrolyte water.
Sunday is my favorite day for some of my version of R&R aka Rest&Reset. A day for myself. Kind of long a day-long version of a slow morning. Where I can move slowly and do whatever I need to do to get organized and ready for the week, without hustle and bustle stress.
Every Sunday looks different. Sometimes it is a day of sitting on the couch all day and just relaxing, because that is all I need to have a successful week.
Sometimes it is a deep clean + reorganization + restock, or finishing up work projects behind the screen. Sometimes it is a day spent in nature and outdoors. Sometimes it is a mix of all the above. It all depends on how I am feeling that day and what I need most. Either way, I leave it open to listen to my body.
Every Sunday though, one constant essential is to cook and eat some good food. And with that, get stocked up on good food to eat for the week. I have never been much of a “meal prepper”, because my cravings change throughout the week and I like to make whatever I feel like in that moment. Buttttt - something I do love to do to make my life a lil easier is make food “meal ready”.
Making food “meal ready” is more like prepping components that make up a meal as a shortcut, instead of cooking the entire meal itself. Examples:
Pre-Cooking rice in bone broth
Cleaning + prepping lettuce and/or chopping veggies
Peeling garlic cloves
Making and freezing meatballs
Prepping soft boiled eggs
Doing little things that will shortcut the full recipe later on in the week, but not prepping a full meal that I may not even be craving in a few days. Ya know?
Another thing that reaaaally helps me is having an idea of all the meals I am going to make and then grocery shopping with those meals in mind. This helps me so I do not over buy and I go in having a plan for the week. But don’t fret, because I have done that work for you. Below is a grocery list for the week + 12 corresponding recipes for the week that you can make with all those groceries!
Yay! Cheers to delish food and a goooood week! Also, I will be sending out the full recipes in our subscriber chat, so if you have not yet joined - please do below!
