Happy almost Summer Solstice everyone! January 21st — longest day of the year.

Our modern lives often disconnect us from nature's cycles, but tuning back in doesn’t require anything complicated, it is actual quite simple.
Pay attention to the way you are feeling. Notice how your energy naturally shifts with the longer days. Maybe you are waking up earlier, craving lighter foods, feeling a desire for more movement, or just feel more free. Lean into that. Flow with what feels right in your body. Whether that is spending more time in the sun, bathing in nature, floating in the ocean &/or grounding your feet in the Earth.
Take a deep breathe and lean in. I asked you all what rituals you carry with you to align with the new season, and I am excited to share a compiled list of all the beautiful things you do to honor the season!
🌻 Summer Solstice Rituals
☀️ Rise with the Sun
Be out of bed with (or before) the sun. Maximize sunlight intake. Go outside at sunrise and again at sunset.
🌿 Barefoot Nature Walk
I know this is harder for my city friends, but being barefoot in nature and laying in the grass, walking on the sand, hugging a tree, is an instant nervous system reset. Walking barefoot recharges our energy and reconnects us to the Earth. Make it mindful. Take a deep inhale of the fresh air, close your eyes, be present and listen to the sounds of nature, show gratitude to the Earth.
🌊 Ocean Swim at Sunrise & Sunset
One giant mineral bath. The ocean is so healing. It cleanses our bodies and our minds. I feel when I am in the ocean I am at the most peace. Or if you're near natural springs, this is a perfect time to soak. Allow the minerals to nourish you.
🌿 Deep Clean & Tend to Your Space
A clear space = a clear mind. Open the windows. Tend to plants & gardens. Let the light in. Burn sage. Journal intentions.
📖 Read Outside
Read & write under the sun.
🍒 Eat Seasonally
Visit the farmers market and support local farmers, eat local foods in season, and take meals outside under the sun.
🌞 Midsummer Celebration
Rooted in European and Indigenous traditions, Midsummer is a time to gather with friends, eat outdoors, sing & dance, and celebrate the longest day of light.
🔥 Bonfire
Light a candle or create a small outdoor fire. Gather with friends, make it a time of laughter and presence.
🌸 Flowers & Home
Adorn your home with flowers & plants. Open the windows, let in fresh air.
🌅 Honor & Greet Nature
Say hello to the birds, bumblebees, flowers and the plants. Honor the moon & sun.
🧘♀️ 108 Sun Salutations or Kundalini Practice
Move with intention. Practice 108 Sun Salutations or engage in Kundalini practice.
🌻 Live Outside as Much as Possible
Choose natural light over blue light. Nap outside. Picnic under a tree. Stargaze. Lay in the grass. Make it your goal to spend as much time in nature as you can.
I love Summer so much. I feel more at peace. I feel lighter and more grounded. I hope these rituals can also help you become more in tune with your body & the season too <3 Thank you all for sharing your rituals! If I missed any, comment them below.
