Nail Health
I used to have nails that would break just by brushing my hands through my hair. They were so weak and brittle that I never even attempted to grow them out or have natural nails.
Nails are a sign of health, and it's probable that nutritional deficiencies and sometimes even autoimmune diseases show up in nail health!
My nails now are stronger than they’ve ever been, so I wanted to share 8 tips that I feel have made the biggest changes in their strength and overall health!
Re-incorporating high quality protein and healthy fats. Grass-finished beef & eggs in particular I feel has provided me with an abundance of bioavailable nutrients in which my diet before was lacking. Also incorporating organ meats + eating nose to tail. If that is challenging, supplementation helps too.
Spring water. Mineral rich clean water has benefitted my health in so many ways, and nail health being one of them! If you don’t have access to spring water, I recommend a quality water filter, adding minerals back into water, and/or drinking mineral rich bevs. A few of my favs: raw milk, bone broth, herbal tea, coconut water & fruit juices.
