Happy Sunday & Happy October!

This year I welcome you to join me in the Sober October festivities. I’m not a huge drinker, but I do enjoy the intentional break time. I say intentional because instead of just cutting out alcohol, I plan on adding in other good habits.

Since I will be having better sleep, a clearer mind, I plan on using that to improve my mind and body. For example, I am really prioritizing my slow mornings. Waking up and having intentional time for myself instead of just going straight on my phone or working. Every morning I have been doing deep stretching, breathing, getting “sunlight” - more like gloom, but it makes the biggest difference in the rest of my day.

In the evening I am making my favorite tea and reading before bed. Throughout the day my theme I carry throughout is creation versus consumption. If I find myself scrolling, switch that into being creative: reading, writing, moving, etc…Something that fills my cup instead of drains it.

And another thing that is filling my cup…literally…are these delicious seasonal and functional mocktails. Sometimes the only thing you need is a nice bev to sip on to brighten your day.
