Happy Sundayy beautiful people! Currently sipping on a hot cacao frothy latte (I can’t get enough) and curled up inside. It has been a rainy weekend on the west coast all the way to a snowy weekend on the east coast so I asked you all what your favorite activities are to do on a rainy/snowy day and compiled a list of yours and my favorites:

Rainy (or Snowy) Day Activities

  • Deep cleaning + organizing

  • Cooking (loving soups, stews, chili) fav is grilled cheese & tomato soup

  • Baking (see the recipe I made today below)

  • Crosswords (can’t start my morning without the NYT connections, mini crossword + wordle)

  • Puzzles

  • Board games

  • Painting

  • Reading

  • Movie marathon

  • Curling up with a blanket and relaxing

  • Napping

  • Hot baths

  • Light candles

  • Sauna

  • Yoga

  • Sitting by the fireplace

  • Drinking tea + warm bevs

  • Homemade face masks + skincare

  • Walking outside after the rain calms (the best smell ever)

& speaking of baking, the most perfect thing to bake on a rainy day is this Orange Creamsicle Olive Oil Cake.

One of my favorite flavor combinations ever is orange & vanilla. This cake is light and fluffy. It melts in your mouth. It is made with no refined sugar & we’re using the abundance of DELICIOUS seasonal oranges at the markets. It is perfection, and absolutely beautiful.

Orange Creamsicle Olive Oil Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 ⅓ cup AP flour (you can sub for GF if needed!)

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ⅔ cup olive oil (I use ZIMMS Heal Olive Oil)
