Mindset Can Change Your Life
Controlling the controllables, Weekly FAVS + Intention, & Seasonal Grocery List
Ciao mia bellas! Writing in from Toscana sipping on a glass of wine, the place we are staying has an organic farm where they handmake their own organic goods including olive oil and red wine (absolute goals). There is nothing more special than eating or drinking handmade goods that are grown at the farm you’re at, true farm to table it’s so special. & no - I’m being good and not putting an ice cube in mine. One of the most delicious wines I’ve ever had.
We had a little hiccup on our trip the day we were supposed to leave, my boyfriend (Cooper) found out he had to get surgery on an injury he got a few weeks back. He has been such a trooper and still insisted we go for the majority of the trip up to the surgery.
It was an emotional couple of days for sure, but it made us both realize the power of mindset. It helps me a lot to think that there is always a plan in place with these situations and everything will end up how it is supposed to if we trust and are grateful for the process. So much of life comes with obstacles that are out of our control, and the only thing we can do to make a situation better is control our perspective on it.
Said less politely - shit happens. That is life. You can choose to go around complaining about it or you can choose to look at the upsides and be grateful for what you do have.
& trust me… I am not saying I do not complain. It is a mindset shift that needs to be enforced day by day, but positive thoughts and mindset shifts need to be practiced just as everything else.
That leads me to our intention of this week, in tough situations (because they will happen) accept your emotions, and move forward with gratitude and acceptance.
Some Favorites of the Weeeeek
Dusan Dusan S&P Shakers
These making cooking so fun. I put salt and pepper on pretty much every single thing that I make, so it was necessary I got some good looking shakers. I get so many comments on where I get these from, I love a general kitchen item that you actually want to keep on the counter.
PACT Clothing Jumpsuit
As I’ve said before, I have made it a goal of mine this year to more consciously consume, and part of that is purchasing clothing that is better for me + the environment moving forward. & let me tell you….. I’m a person that if they love something I’ll wear it pretty much daily until it has holes in it and I still won’t throw it out.
This PACT Jumpsuit is the most comfy thing I’ve ever worn. It’s breathable and cozy and you can wear it home all day or out running errands. It’s versatile and you’ll never want to take it off. My friends call it the squirrel suit. I will be getting more of them because I’m not kidding I’ve worn this every single day. I like Pact a lot it’s made with 100% organic cotton and it’s great quality. Their yoga pants are awesome too.
LEMON
Ok I’ve always loved lemon but I’m in a phase right now where I can’t drink or eat anything without a squeeze of lemon (& ofc a lil flakey sea salt) it just brightens up everything. This is my fav squeezer + also how cute is this lil to go squeezer, obsessed.
Fav beverage as of late is my ginger shilajit lemonade & then I also love the same recipe but with a pique electrolyte packet instead of the shilajit! Both are so so delicious and hydrating. I mix it all up and then put it over ice in my Stanley Cup, basic I know but I crave it.
Red Light Glasses
These are key to regulating your circadian rhythm. Circadian rhythm is something I have recently become very fascinated with as it is directly related to every aspect of health. I just started reading The Circadian Code if anyone wants to join me in reading! A lot of this has to do with exposure to light. At night, blue lights and florescent lights can really mess with circadian rhythm. These glasses are INCREDIBLE and really help minimize that exposure, so you can get an incredible nights sleep (and in my case completely prevent jet lag). These are Boncharge “Parker” Lenses - discount is ELLA15!
Also highlllyyy recommend the “Timeshifter” app for Jet Lag prevention, has saved me.
Okay friends, now here is the seasonal grocery list this week! Make sure you are following along on Instagram for seasonal recipes (a bunch the past week and past month are related to this list!) + substack recipes as well, last weeks recipe’s and this weeks coming recipe are all on the grocery list.
Have a magical week, can’t wait to share more adventures with you! Grateful for you all <3 Buona giornata - Ella
