We’re coming into the end of theee monthhhh. Something I have been wanting to do more is end of the month recaps. Kind of like a spotify wrapped for yourself, but monthly.
I feel like reflecting on this helps me in so many ways – but most of all allows me to slow down and be more present. The less I let myself slow down and reflect, the more it feels like time is flying by and nothing is changing. So for me the best way to move forward with positive change and gratitude is to take a lil time to reflect.
What I am Reflecting On:
Things that lit me up (energy givers)
Things that bogged me down (energy drainers)
My favorite adventures + explorations
Favorite eats / bevs / foods / recipes
Favorite reads or watches
Something new I learned
Favorite workout
What I am grateful for
What challenged me/took me out of my comfort zone
Something I learned about myself
So join me and get a fun pen, piece of paper, and go one by one writing these things out. Take some time by yourself, outside or inside — wherever comfortable. Turn on some music or sit in silence, and enjoy the slowness and reflection with yourself.
Once I reflect, it helps me think about what I want to do more of, what purpose I want to act with in mind moving forward, what else I want to accomplish that I did not prior. This is SO much more effective for me than a one time yearly resolution.
MY APRIL FAVORITES
ACOTAR Series. I WISH I COULD START THIS SERIES OVER WITH VIRGIN EYES. I never thought I would be a Fantasy genre lover…but alas this series took me straight out of my reading rut. Fell in love with the story, the characters, I understand why this series has such a cult following. I am currently on the second to last book and I am reading as slow as possible so I can savor the last one lol.
NanDaka Latte. I have been coffee-less for about 3 weeks now and when I am not having matcha this is what I am drinking. It is a hormone healthy coffee replacement, a functional mushroom cacao fermented tea that brings me so much warmth and energy in the morning I crave it. I brew it and then blend it with ghee, A2 cream, vanilla, sea salt, dash of maple and collagen.
Ballerina Farm Flour. This has changed the sourdough game for me!! It is an organic high-protein flour that is fresh milled, so not only is it top tier quality but it is made for creating beautiful sourdough loaves! My starter rises quicker due to this flour and my bread turns out better. Her whole shop has really cute stuff too, makes a great gift. I got some of the wooden tools and tablecloth and I love.
Vibrating Plate. Prioritizing lymphatic drainage has been something that has really helped me feel better, inside and out. This vibrating plate is one of my favorite tools to support healthy lymphatic drainage. I go on it for 10 minutes in the morning after opening up my lymph-nodes and sometimes pair it with dry brushing and it is wonderful.
Fond Bone Broth. My fav bone broth ever. My fav easy gut-healthy kitchen hack. I cook with bone broth, I sip bone broth, it is so versatile. *discount is glowwithella
Wonder Valley Shampoo & Conditioner. This is my current daily shampoo & conditioner. I also have been using their rosemary hair oil to do hair masks and it has been doing wonders for repairing my hair!
Red Light. Daily red light has been a game-changer for my skin. *discount is ELLA15
Magnesium Spray. I seriously don’t know what I did without this. Spraying magnesium on my feet and hands before bed has changed my sleep health so positively. My mom also has trouble sleeping & this has helped her as well (and she never says anything works lol). *discount is ELLA15
Yellowbird Sriracha. This sriracha is made with great ingredients and adds so much good flavor. I have been obsessed with rice bowls lately and this is the perfect addition. I get mine from Thrive Market (you can use my link to get 30% off your first order)
Body Pillow. This is an investment I made in my health after my chiropractor told me how much sleeping on my side was affecting my back and posture….and OHHHH MY GOSH. The way that I don’t wake up in as much pain any more with this body pillow is crazy. I still sleep on my side, just with this in between my legs and the positive difference it’s made is wild. Completely worth it.
Wool Dryer Balls. These have made my sheets SO. SOFT. *discount is glowwithella
WHAT I’VE BEEN EATING
Rice bowls….on repeat. This has been my go to meal to make when I do not know what to eat and it always hits and makes me feel good.
